Job Description

Job Title:  Service Parts Coordinator/Purchaser

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary Ensure parts needed for repair are available or coordinate with the Purchasing Department to purchase the needed parts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review each service order for correct parts.
  • Purchase Parts for Service Department.
  • Gather parts needed for service work order.
  • Track and return items that are defective to vendors for a refund.
  • File completed work orders and returned vendor paperwork.
  • Check emails daily and respond accordingly
  • Record and track ship loose material shortages
  • Work with purchasing on availability and approval to release materials to service
  • Keep a record of all purchased materials, update daily
  • Communicate with CSR and Service manager on material order status and ETA
  • Communicate with retailers on material order status and ETA
  • File all service paperwork in home file.
  • Keep service room clean and organized
  • Maintain inventory on commonly used service materials
  • Pull and stage all service parts in tech bins for future service orders
  • Assist techs/contractors/dealers with picking up materials
  • Work with production on plant-built materials
    • Make sure that service materials are clean and free of damages before handing off toservice tech
  • Manager walk homes when needed
  • Other duties will be added as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Manufactured housing industry experience desired
  • High School Graduate or equivalent training or experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be working at a rapid pace within the production line. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
