Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The
receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate
associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional
clerical duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
    Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to
    appropriate personnel or department.
    Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel
    are unavailable.
    Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and
    other information.
    Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to
    appropriate personnel.
    Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required.
    Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
    Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Assist all incoming callers with service-related inquiries
    • Research to find answers for the caller and call them back if necessary
  • Call and confirm all upcoming service appointments on the Friday before Scheduled service
    • Follow up with anyone who is not reachable
  • Take all customer satisfaction surveys and send surveys to retailer via email
    • Put a copy of survey in the home file
  • Record Customer warranty requests on a service request form
    • Provide to appropriate CSR
  • Open new service orders as neededClose completed work orders as needed
  • Enter new home-Owner Warranty cards
  • Process invoices as needed
  • Filing as needed

Qualifications
Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
Must have strong attention to detail
Must have a great work ethic
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with standard office equipment
Must live the Champion Operating Principles

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to 1-year related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
